Tiverton High School Printmaking

Tiverton Middle School has been making their own cards with Printmaking! Printmaking is an art form that involves transferring images from a matrix, or template, onto another surface, usually paper or fabric. A printmaker creates the matrix out of wood, metal, glass or other material, using tools to work the surface into an image. The artist then inks the template and transfers it onto another surface. Throughout history, it’s served as an affordable way to communicate and share art.

Middletown Art Show

We are happy to sponsor the Middletown Art Show, where many different types of artwork are on display from many different student artists.  What a great way to show students hard work throughout the year!

New England Percussion Ensemble

The New England Percussion Ensemble delivered a thrilling performance to both Little Compton and Tiverton Schools, teaching children about all kinds of percussion instruments and culture. They were able to experience percussive sounds in a whole new way and learn about their role in communication.

Wilbur & McMahon School Band

Up with School Arts is thrilled to be lending on-going support to the Wilbur McMahon School Band program, which in turn has been instrumental (pun intended) in making the Portsmouth High School Band such a successful group of musicians. Many of the students from Little Compton move on to Portsmouth and become section leaders in the high school band.

Johnny the K

Johnny the K has visited Wilbur & McMahon School in Little Compton, as well as Tiverton Public Schools teaching students to be kind, be their best, and build character all through song and some funny hats! He brought smiles to all around him, teachers, students, and visitors alike.

New Bedford Symphony Orchestra

Up With School Arts has been a proud supporter of The Newbedford Symphony Orchestra for many years. They have an incredible 3rd and 4th grade program in which they relate music to science, perform in our schools, visit classrooms, and hold a concert at the Zeiterion Theater for a final performance. We are pleased to support this program in many Rhode Island and Massachusetts schools year after year.

Atwater Donnelly

The Atwater Donnelly Duo have come to our schools many times to provide engaging performances featuring tradition folk songs and clog dancing. Students are always excited to hear the beautiful sounds of tin whistles and dancing!

Pottery Supplies

Tiverton Middle School students learned how to make pottery from clay donated by Up With School Arts. The students made some great works of art while learning a new skill!

Tiverton Summer String Camp

We are a proud sponsor of the Tiverton Summer String Camp, which is a program for any string student with at least one year of experience or any beginner violin, viola, cello or string bass student who has signed up to be in a performing group this fall. String camp is a great opportunity for any student interested in learning the basics or "tuning up" their skills before returning to school. Camp is un by Mr. Michael Daniels and Mrs. Renee Bond, both music teachers in the Tiverton Schools.
